Automatic captioning
Turn speech into text in real time
T-Meeting’s automatic captioning converts speech into text as it is spoken. The solution can be used in meetings, lectures, presentations and media production – whenever spoken content needs to be made available as text instantly.
Automatic captioning can be used on tablets, smartphones and computers, making it easy to follow the captions on the device that best suits the situation.
Automatic real-time captioning technology is also used in T-Meeting’s communication solutions, including TERA.

Follow the conversation as it happens
The text appears continuously as the person speaks, allowing users to follow what is being said in real time without having to wait for a completed transcription.
Different speakers can also be identified. Using voice recognition, the application can recognise who is speaking and indicate who is saying what in the live text.
Automatic captioning provides visual text support and can be used by people who need to follow spoken communication as text, including people with hearing loss.
Automatic captioning in over 40 languages
T-Meeting’s automatic captioning supports more than 40 languages, making the technology suitable for a wide range of situations and markets.
When participants speak different languages, automatic captioning can also be combined with real-time translation. Read more about Languages here.
Meetings and lectures
Make meetings, lectures and presentations easier to follow. Speech is converted into text in real time, allowing participants to read along while listening.
Automatic captioning can be used for everything from small meetings to larger presentations, training sessions and lectures.
Media production
Automatic captioning can also be used in the production of video and other digital content. Speech is converted into text that can be used as a basis for subtitles and further editing.
One technology – multiple applications
T-Meeting has extensive experience in developing solutions for accessible communication. The technology behind our automatic captioning is also used in TERA, where speech is converted into text in real time during phone calls and conversations between people in the same location.
When text also needs to become speech
T-Meeting’s technology can also convert text into speech using text-to-speech technology. The user types what they want to say, and the text is read aloud using a synthetic voice.
This can, for example, be used by people who have difficulty using their own voice, enabling them to communicate through written text that is converted into speech.
